Fidelity says your basis is $48.20 It's really $41.46
If you've been selling calls against a position, every premium you collected — minus every buy-to-close — has already refunded part of what you paid. Fidelity doesn't net that against your stock basis. This does.
true economic basis = stock cost basis − net call premium collected
Drop your Fidelity activity CSVs here — or click to choose
Expected files: Accounts_History.csv (Activity & Orders → History → Download). You can drop several exports at once — e.g. one per year — and overlapping rows are deduped automatically.
How to export the CSVs from Fidelity (including past years)
- Log in to Fidelity → Accounts & Trade → Activity & Orders.
- Pick the account (or All Accounts). The time period dropdown has more than YTD — use custom ranges / previous-year presets and export one CSV per period until you've covered your first share purchase.
- Click the Download (⇩) icon top-right of the history table → CSV. Repeat per period.
- Drop all the files here together (or add more later with “+ add statement”). Overlapping periods are fine — duplicate rows are removed.
- If part of the history is simply unavailable, open the position card and type your current shares and avg cost/share straight from Fidelity's Positions page.
